We began our work in Denver with the Sherman Howard law firm. They needed an Expert Access developer with VBA Programming skills to modify their Access databases.

They then referred us to their client: Verizon. We then built a land management (for Cell Towers) Access database application for them.

We've consistently added more Access Database clients in the Denver area since these humble beginnings.

Build Microsoft Access Sales Contact Database with advanced search features for Real Estate Brokerage/Development firm in Denver Colorado

Verizon Wireless - Rockies

Real Estate Purchase tracking for cell phone towers. This database was built specifically for the Rocky Mountain division of Verizon for operations in Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming We provided the Free Microsoft Access quote for this project for this project. We then did the Access development as well.

Food and Drug Administration

Dynamics Edge had a contract to Train the Food and Drug Administration. When they had an Advanced Access Class to train, they called us as Expert Access Consultants to perform the training in Silver Spring, MD

Sherman Howard

Partner to build Access databases for their Communications client Verizon Wireless in Denver Colorado.

This is a land use management for Verizon, tracking all of the land the wireless company owns.

Routt County Alcohol Council

The Council contacted us to upgrade their Access 97 database to the current version of Access. We have to first move the database into Access 2003, and then into Access 2019 (365). The was further complicated due to a workgroup information file protecting the Access 97 database and then advanced vba code that needed modification.

We are frustrated that Microsoft does not provide a transparent upgrade path from Access 97 directly to Access 365 (or whatever current version of Access is out today). We are further frustrated that Access discontinues support of features such as workgroup information files, pivot tables/report, Access Data Projects. So clients are forced to contact consultants like Data Control. We realize the importance of your database and the dilemma you are in. So we try to fairly price the upgrade to the new version of Access hoping that we can get future development work from you.

To get around the Workgroup Information File issue (the client had no documentation of this which is understandable considering the database is 20 years old and the original developer long gone), we opened a new Access 2003 database and imported all of the objects. This then allowed us to open the Access 2003 database in Access 2007 and perform the final upgrade steps.

This particular database uses advanced VBA code and expected the data file to be in a particular position on the server. If the data file wasn't there, the reports didn't work. So we searched through the code removing this requirement. We also had to modify a few of the libraries

Routt County Alcohol Board is a non-profit serving the city of Steam Boat in Colorado. Their database is a case management and reporting vehicle for their operations.

Dominion Partners desired an Access Guru to build an access database to manage their investment banking back office operations. They contracted us for this Access Database project.
Holiday Signs
Holiday Signs need an expert Access Database consultant to revise their Customer Relationship Manager application. This is an Access database that provides at-your-fingertip pipeline data to help both the salesmen and sales managers keep track of ongoing sales leads. Metrics come out of this database to help evaluate and improve sales performance.

Carmax
Built a legal matter tracking database for this Fortune 500 company with headquarters in Richmond, VA but locations all across the nation including Orlando, FL

Hospital Hospitality House
Developed Access database for charity hotel organization. This hotel management application interacts with both a Topaz Signature pad for capturing hotel guest signatures as well as Adobe Acrobat and for producing .pdf files.
Nufarm Americas Inc.
NuFarm is a pesticide chemical manufacturer based in Australia. They're office in Raleigh North Carolina initially engaged us to build an Access Database to track Environmentl Protection Agency (EPA) forms. They have over 2,000 EPA forms on file with the US Government.

Upon further conversation and discovering the intent of this chemical/pesticide client, we decided that an Access Database WAS NOT the proper solution.

They desired people AROUND THE WORLD to enter and query their application. So we built this database using PHP web pages and a SQL Server data file. You may find more information about this application at www.data-blade.com

We were hired by BtoB, a SQL Server development and administration company to help their client: DuPont to provide administration support to their SQL Server Databases

The Chemical giant, DuPont, has a SQL Server farm that provides databases to the company's offices around the world.

We provided this service at the DuPont Chemical plant in Richmond, Virginia.
